Decided to treat myself to some proper Japanese soba at Tokyo Soba, and honestly, it was worth every dollar (even though my wallet disagreed slightly). Went all out and ordered the sukiyaki beef soba, ebi tempura, and pork cutlet — because why choose when you can have it all, right? The sukiyaki beef was tender and sweet, perfectly complementing the nutty buckwheat noodles. The prawn tempura was incredibly light and crispy without any greasy aftertaste, while the pork cutlet was golden and juicy. The thin udon noodles was very nice too The broth is clean and flavorful without MSG, making it easy to slurp down every last drop. At around $18 per bowl, it’s reasonable for authentic Japanese quality though it can’t be an everyday fare.

Satisfying dinner. Clear flavourful soup base with just right soba. The pork cutlet with egg is good. The tables & chairs with Japanese song at background made me felt like I am in Japan .

Good soba and dipping broth. Soba could be firmer. The sides are sort of above average - had the tempura which was alright and the duck was pretty dry. Broth was flavourful but too salty.

Soba noodles were perfectly chewy and al dente + seasoned spinach was served in a generous portion + free flow kelp was a bonus! Place was nice and quiet when we went, so it was perfect for a good catchup meal.

First time trying. I had the multi seaweed soba while my friend has the multi mushroom soba. I generally prefer soup soba than cold soba with dip. Soup arrived hot - good start, because some soba soup is lukewarm and terrible. Soup was on the salty side. I think less salty could be better. Soba was not too bad, but not the best soba quality i ve had in SG. In 100AM mall there is a dedicated soba shop on the 2nd floor with better quality soba, but also more expensive. My multi seaweed experience was delicious. My friend also enjoyed the multi mushroom. (Other than the saltiness). U can add free flow soba cooking water in order to thicken your soup to make it like "lor mee". I added it to reduce the saltiness. Free flow negi and wakame - excellent! Pricing - about $17. I think is fairly typical for soba in sg. We had the cahr siew side dish but nothing to write about - was very average. Will come again and update on the tempura.

Amazing experience! The noodles were al dente, and the dipping sauce was perfectly savoury and refreshing. I got the dipping cha shu soba, with eggs (additional cost). It was really good! We went right when it opened on a Sunday, and we were the first customers. The service was fast and the quality is superb. Highly recommended!

The cold dipping udon is delicious, the breaded pork tonkatsu also didn’t disappoint. No frills service set up, very efficient and good value for what you pay for! I devoured it!
